We Love You, Leslie Jones!
Jones has borne the brunt of racist/sexist remarks by thousands of hateful Twitter users, chief of them Yiannopoulos, who spearheaded the abuse.
The attacks on Jones came after the 2016 reboot of the movie Ghostbusters, featuring an all-female cast, was released.
During the non-stop abuse the actress/comedian was called an “ape,” a “gorilla” and had a photograph of herself with what appeared to be seminal fluid spilled on it Tweeted to her.
Frustrated and driven to the point of tears, Jones announced on Monday that she was leaving Twitter so as to avoid further abuse.
I leave Twitter tonight with tears and a very sad heart. All this cause I did a movie. You can hate the movie but the shit I got today…wrong

Because building up the black community, including Queens, is our business, today we are celebrating the beauty and talent of Ms. Leslie Jones in the form of a video and a photo gallery. We want you to know, Queen, that the hatred spewed at you does not make you any less of a Queen, and that the black community appreciates you.
