COLORED Unites African American and Afro-Caribbean Artists

colored 2COLORED, a Tacoma, Washington-based art exhibit, is seeking to break the barriers and strengthen the ties between black visual artists from the United States and the Caribbean.

The exhibit, curated by Christopher Paul Jordan, is a combination of larger-than-life reality, social media and public art, all aimed at reflecting the connections among the various members of the African diaspora, and how we relate to each other.

Jordan stated, “By pairing poets with visual artists the show intends to foster connections between Black communities historically separated by space and culture.”
