Meet Isaiah Cooper, The Youngest Black Pilot to Fly Across America
He embarked on a journey of 8,000 miles, beginning in California, followed by Washington State, Maine and Florida, and finishing up in Compton, California.
Cooper writes on his GoFundMe page, “This epic journey gave me the experience necessary to achieve my ultimate goal to be the youngest person to fly solo around the world at age 18.”
He further noted that his success is that more meaningful because his journey wasn’t an easy one, and he came close to giving up in the first few days.
At one point, he was even forced to land and switch planes because of damage due to bad weather. Nevertheless, he persevered, and it’s no surprise; after all, his main goal is “to become a productive young man with a future in aviation, and not a statistic.”
We look forward to seeing this young man achieve the greatness he aspires to achieve.
