Photographer Mario Epanya Celebrates Black Beauty With New Book
Black beauty has long captivated artists, photographers, writers and poets, and many have tried to capture the essence of it with paintings, words and pictures. Paris-based photographer Mario Epanya, originally from Cameroon, is the creative mind behind “Beautiful,” a new book that pays homage to black beauty and editorial glamour.
The book shows off stunning black women in every shade of brown; both models and those with regular nine-to-fives, and features both portraiture and editorial photography.
Epanya’s work has previously been published by New African Woman and Zen Magazine and has been seen in campaigns for L’Oreal Paris and Maybelline New York.
“Beautiful” will be officially released on April 24th by Shoko Press.
