New Documentary “Black White & Blue” Takes a Look at Race and Police Brutality
BLACK WHITE & BLUE is an independent documentary that thoroughly examines the role that police violence and race played in the 2016 U.S. presidential campaign. Topics explored in the documentary include the Black Lives Matter Movement, the Flint Water Crisis, and abuse of power by law enforcement officials.
The documentary is the result of the collaborative efforts of Curtis Scoon (BET’s American Gangster), who serves as producer, and Asia Norris, who serves as director. BLACK WHITE & BLUE kicks off at the DNC in Philadelphia back in July 2016, and features one-on-one interviews with familiar names such as The Breakfast Club’s Charlamagne Tha God, CAIR National Spokesman Ibrahim Hooper, author/ social critic Dr. Michael Eric Dyson and Michigan State Senator Coleman Young II (D)) among others, alongside “man on the street” interviews and thought-provoking nationwide visuals for emphasis.
