This Poem About Body Hangups Will Give You Chills

bodyWhile some seem to have a never-ending supply of self-confidence and find it easy to like what they see in the mirror, for others, self-love is a process, and a difficult one at that.

For the one struggling with self-image issues, liking what he/she sees in the mirror is an on-going task, particularly since beauty ideals set up by society; set up by mainstream media; set up by the opposite sex, seem to be ever-changing, and even the seemingly physically perfect are subject to scrutiny and criticism. 

Talicha Johnson is painfully honest about her hangups in the poem entitled “How Best to Say Body.”
