6 Black-Owned Digital Art Galleries and Collections
If you’re an artist or a lover of art/art collector, you are probably familiar with the work of famous names in art such as Leonardo Da Vinci, Sandro Botticelli, and Vincent van Gogh, but being a black artist or art lover can leave you feeling starved for the work of black artists, as many tend to go unrecognized. By the end of this article, hopefully, that problem will be solved.
Here are six digital art galleries and collections owned by black visual artists.
1: Luc Images
Visual artist Shante Young of San Pablo, California, has showcased her art on etsy since 2012. She specializes in African American art, abstract art and jazz art.
Located in League City, Texas, this gallery is owned and operated by Lisa Cain, whose Afrocentric art can be found on etsy.
This Columbus, Ohio art gallery was established in 2005 and creates an avenue for black artists and black art lovers to communicate with each other, as well as with students and educators.
4: S. Brown Art
Stacey Brown is the owner of this art gallery which showcases watercolor art of landscapes, life scenes, flowers, and much more, that all reflect black culture.
This art depot was founded in 2004 in Atlanta, GA by Kani Saburi Ayubu, and sells African American art, decor, gifts and collectibles.
Tiffani Grimsley owns this Riverview, Florida art gallery that features quaint and fanciful African-American-inspired art.
