How Constance Moonzwe Went From Grief to Success
Constance Moonzwe and her husband were enjoying the experiences of new parenthood when he suddenly died, leaving her not just in bereavement, but in fear of the possibility of raising their 7-month-old on her own.
To cope with her grief, Moonzwe started a business called ITH Staffing, and garnered results she never expected: within the first 12 months of its launch, the company raked in more than $3 million in revenue!
“I had to make the pain mean something; I could not waste it.”
At present, her company, which is based in Rancho Cucamonga, California, has grown magnificently, and serves as a healthcare and information technology staffing company for organizations all across America.
Finding Light in Darkness
According to Moonze, her husband’s death was just one of the many difficulties she had to face while attempting to gain steady footing in the business world.
“My path has not been easy, but I have been blessed with a fighting spirit from a very young age. I grew up a sickly child and was placed under a medically induced coma at the age of 17. Once finally released from the hospital, I was unable to walk or speak. The doctors gave my parents a grim diagnosis that I would not live a normal life, and I definitely would not graduate from high school,” she shared. “In my adulthood, I faced a failed first business, went through a divorce, re-married and from that marriage, experienced the tragic death of my husband. Phenomenally, I endured and overcame it all.”
In addition to sharing her story to inspire others, Moonze gives back to her community, and has launched a non-profit organization called ITH Charities. She has also adopted a school in Zambia which currently has 850 students.
